Listen Up, cuz I'm only gonna say this once

To anyone who has ever used the phrase: "I could care less!" you are in fact saying the exact opposite of what you mean. Saying that you could care less implies that you do in fact care at least a little bit, which of course would make you able to care less than you already do. What you actually mean is the phrase: "I could not care less!" This slightly altered expression implies that you care so very little about something that it is absolutely impossible for you to care any less than you already do.
